investing in yourself is scary. because the world has made it seem like a negative transaction. like we have to give more than we get. like we are only able to invest if the stars align if our credit score is high & it will somehow make our bank account more full.
this fear around investment blocks us from evolving. because we aren’t just scared to invest financially we are scared to invest energetically. it’s never really about the money. it’s about feeling worthy enough to invest our energy into things that don’t give us something tangible in return.
we don’t take vacation days at work because — why invest our energy into something that doesn’t bring us closer to society’s version of success?
we don’t get up from our computers to take a walk in nature because — why invest our energy into something that doesn’t bring us closer to society’s version of success?
we don’t pay out of pocket for therapy we don’t hire a health coach we don’t start our own biz because — why invest our energy into something that doesn’t bring us closer to society’s version of success?
the fear around investing time & money is a fear of investing energy. because we have the belief that we are not inherently worthy — that we WILL only be worthy when we reach society’s standard of success.
but if you know me you know what I’m gonna say next.
fck society’s standard of success. fck it. fck the 60 hour work weeks, chronic pain, inflammation, deep seeded resentment & competitiveness. fck the idea that taking care of our body, mind & soul is a waste of time. fck the idea that self care is selfish. fck it.
because if I’ve learned one thing in this lifetime it’s that investing in yourself, in your body, mind & soul — is the gift that keeps on giving.
investing your energy into your wellbeing reinforces that you are worthy & deserving of all of the beauty this world has to offer.
investing in your evolution is the most selfless choice you can make. because when you are aligned, living authentically, choosing love > fear, you not only feel lighter but you light up those around you.
it’s the ripple effect.
love > fear.
what’ll it be?
